On 27 October 2017, BMSS welcomed Primary 6 students from three primary schools to SAM Fest 2017. A total of more than 700 students from New Town Primary School, Radin Mas Primary School and Zhangde Primary School took part in this event, the objective of which is to give the primary school students a glimpse of secondary school life at BMSS. This is also an opportunity for our student facilitators to showcase the year’s learning.
Through the four-hour event, the students visited curriculum and non-curriculum based stations which enabled them to gain hands-on experiences in Science, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages, Aesthetics as well as the Applied Learning Programme (ALP) and Learning for Life Programme (LLP). At the Science station, the students carried out an experiment to make slime. At the Design and Technology station, they tried their hand at fancy dish making through the thermoforming of acrylic. Apart from these activities, they also attended a workshop on coding with drones and mbots at the Applied Learning Programme station.
The collective effort of both the students and staff of BMSS has successfully created a meaningful and enjoyable experience for the primary school students and teachers.
